Happy new year! It’s good to be back. I took a bit of a break in december – I just wasn’t feeling it. It was a bad month for me. When my head isn’t in it, I don’t want to force myself to do certain things because then I’m not putting my best stuff out there and unhappy with results anyway. I wasn’t working out, developing recipes, doing much for self-care or anything really. But there’s no better time than new year’s to give you a boost of motivation and set some goals! I have a ton of resolutions, and I’m super excited to take on 2018, and hopefully make it my best year yet! I’m back, full force, so be ready for all the recipes to come! 🙂
I’m starting out 2018 with a healthy, fresh juice recipe. Not everyone has a juicer, but maybe you’re like me, and got one for christmas! Or maybe you can borrow your friend’s juicer. Either way, you definitely need to try this delicious combination. I already have a strong love for fresh carrot juice, and I wanted to come up with a unique combination that I haven’t seen done before. I knew I had to add parsley and ginger because those are my two favorite pairings with carrot. And I knew I wanted the last ingredient to be something sweet to pull it all together into a delicious, healthy treat. I know how versatile pineapple is (used in desserts, and savoury meals) and it’s sweetness is exactly what I wanted. I also happened to be craving it, so that’s why it first came to mind. But once I made my juice and took the first sip, I knew I made the right choice! The taste was everything I had imagined! SO yummy!
I hope you are all getting along well with your new year’s resolutions so far! One of mine is to spend less time on my phone. I wake up and will immediately reach for my phone to browse facebook and play phone games, then waste practically an hour just laying there on it! I never have time to do everything I want to do, but it’s for reasons like this! I also started writing hourly schedules so I’m actually doing everything I want to be doing when I want to do it (instead of just thinking “I want to do this later” and it never happens). I even schedule in time I can play on my phone, or do the little time-wasting things I still want to do once and a while, when I’ve already done all the productive things I want to do that day. I hope I may have inspired you to maybe do something similar! I’d also love to hear all your resolutions and how they’re coming along 🙂
