Infused Water 3 Ways

Is anyone else like me and not drink nearly enough water? I really need to start making water bottles and set goals to drink them by a certain time of the day. One thing that really helps me though, is infused waters. I won’t sit down and unconsciously drink a whole glass of just plain water – but I will with infused water. I find it so tasty and satisfying and actually enjoy drinking it, so I’m not just drinking it because I should. (Never do things just because you should. If you are, change it somehow so you’re enjoying it too! Good advice I love to live by!)

I’m SO excited it’s blood orange season. They’re just so pretty, and even yummier than regular oranges. As soon as I seen them on the grocery store shelf, I took an excited snapchat of them and then bought some. Infused water doesn’t just have to be yummy – with fruit like blood oranges, it can be gorgeous too. So you can basically feel like a queen while you’re trying to get your daily water intake.

I put together 3 delicious combinations for you to try. You can either just make yourself a glass, or you can put together a whole pitcher of it and pour yourself glasses throughout the day (that’s what I like to do). But only do that if you know you’re going to drink it all in a day or two (make it a challenge for yourself!) because by the next few days your water might not look so good and may taste bitter.

When you make your infused water you want to muddle your herbs and squeeze the fruits a bit with a spoon to let out flavors. So before you muddle it up, take your pretty snapchat photo first to show all your friends your gorgeous creation 😉

So when you wake up in the morning, make your infused water for the day to inspire you to drink all day. It works for me, so I hope it works for you too! Let me know in the comments if you try any of my combinations, or tell me what your favorite recipe for infused water is!

Grapefruit, Lemon & Rosemary:

  • Add slices of grapefruit & lemon to water
  • Drop in a sprig of rosemary
  • Add a pretty paper straw
  • Take a cute photo/snapchat
  • Muddle the rosemary and squeeze the lemon and grapefruit with a spoon
  • Enjoy!

Lime, Blueberry & Thyme:

  • Add blueberries and slices of lime to your water
  • Drop in a sprig of thyme
  • Add a pretty paper straw
  • Take a cute photo/snapchat
  • Muddle the thyme, squeeze the lime and squish the blueberries a bit with a spoon
  • Enjoy!

Blood Orange, Raspberries & Basil:

(This one’s my fave!)

  • Add blood orange (or regular orange) slices and raspberries to your water
  • Drop in some basil leaves
  • Add a pretty paper straw
  • Take a cute photo/snapchat
  • Muddle the basil and squeeze the orange and raspberries a bit with a spoon
  • Enjoy!
